Here it is! Finally!

Look at it...it's beautiful! Time to shove the baby from the nest! Spread the word!
FINAL UPDATE BEFORE LAUNCH
The Kickstarter will be live as soon as I hear back from Kickstarter! Don't worry, I'll post about that too.
I've spent DAYS building the Kickstarter and creating the reward tiers and doing math and whatnot--so much involved!
The final surprise I've been keeping up my sleeve is a re-release of the 12 Trash Bag Bunch mini figures only released in TBB series 2.
If you're a fan of this line--then you already know what these are. Time to complete that collection!
Premium Painted figures
Both Liceplant and Muckoid done up with extra detailing. Using hand-painted and airbrushed enhancements to really bring out the features of the larger sculpts. Both figures have additional colors to show off their unique elements.
Check out the below comparison shots to the classic figures so you can see where the details have been enhanced.
Most notable on Liceplant are the color changes. White teeth with airbrushed details, and yellow to red fades on the leaves giving them an autumn orange appearance. The eyes and all the vines have added details, and all the leaves are shaded with airbrushing giving it a generally darker, and more realistic appearance.
A dark wash on the bark texture and brown vines on the feet:
And check out those pearly whites:
Muckoid has airbrushing on all his wrinkles and disgusting crevices to bring out the detail and darker fades on all his spots. He has a generally darker, and more realistic appearance
Airbrushing on the throat and tongue create more depth and enhance the details. Hand painted aging on the teeth give a more realistic feel to the mouth.
The eyes have some bloodshot shading and the claws are enhanced with some aging. All the musculature pops with airbrushed shading.
On the broader parts of the figure, there is a general mottled pass of airbrushed detail to add to the overall feeling of grossness.
Muckoid also has some toe jam details, and a puss-filled yellowish hue to some of his pimples.
Along with the purple spots, the tops of his eye stalks also have a darker gradient for added detail.
STICKERS
Coming in at the low end of the Kickstarter rewards are a selection of stickers. Seven designs in total: Trash Bag Bunch classic logo, Trash Bag Bunch XL logo, Last Resort Toys logo, Liceplant, Muckoid, Skuzbeast, and Stink Buzzard.
BRONZE STATUES
Both figures will be offered in bronze--really giving these low-brow monsters the fine art treatment. For anyone seeking something truly unique, and has a bucket of money sitting around, this will be the highest priced backing reward.
I'm doing my best to get the Kickstarter launched ASAP--probably going too be a bit late on that April launch I've been talking about.
Pre-order Exclusive Colorways
As previously noted, these are the colors of the series 2 versions of the toys. Orange Muckoid, AKA Eyeballer, was actually never produced. Red Liceplant, AKA Mighty Lice, did see production in VERY small numbers in Scandinavia.
Rather than calling these "Kickstarter exclusives," I am very carefully naming them "Pre-Order Exclusives" to avoid complaints or confusion down the line. Allow me to explain: your best chance (and only chance for the foreseeable future) to obtain these versions will be to purchase through the impending Kickstarter campaign. However, I want to retain the ability to make them available again during pre-orders of future TBBXL toys. And possibly the very occasional charity auction, toy show, convention appearance, or base for a custom, etc. But do not be confused, there will not be a wide open opportunity to purchase these versions outside the pre-order for Trash Bag Bunch XL via the Kickstarter campaign.
MORE ENAMEL PINS
Skuzbeast and Stink Buzzard enamel pin designs for the Kickstarter campaign. We're getting close to launch time, just nailing down final details. It's weird how close you start looking at these little toys when you need to redesign them--I never noticed that Stink Buzzard has an inner mouth!
Big thanks to Kevin Ivers for the design work on these pins: http://strangemovieperson.wixsite.com/amish
Classic Colors
Here they are in all their glory. The classic versions feature the same color scheme as the original toys. The carefully applied colors show off the sculpted features and really bring these guys to life!
Blanks
The XL figures will be offered in blank green. The monochromatic toys really show off the detail and they'll be good for the DIY folks!
T-SHIRT
T-shirts featuring the classic logo will be available via Kickstarter. Black, crew neck. They'll be high-quality screen printed shirts, so, not the cheapest t-shirt you ever bought, but they will be nice and comfy!
GLOW IN THE DARK
All figures (let's think positively and include Skuzbeast in 'all') will be available in glow in the dark versions. I've whipped up a couple samples from my molds to show an example of how they will look. The glow pigment I'm using didn't settle evenly over all the surface because I'm making them by hand, but I assure you, the factory versions will be primo! I'm very excited to offer up these radioactive creatures!
Enamel Pins
Here's some artwork for enamel pins that will be available as lower-level Kickstarter rewards. Not finalized, but close enough to share. The Skuzbeast design is in the works along with one more of another TBB character that will be available from the start of the campaign!
Big thanks to Kevin Ivers for working on this 2-D art for me. Hire him to make you stuff: http://strangemovieperson.wixsite.com/amish
And another big thanks to Yesterdays Enamel for producing the pins!
STETCH GOAL: SKUZBEAST
If the Kickstarter reaches a pre-set level above the initial goal, Skuzbeast will be unlocked as the third Trash Bag Bunch XL figure! This will include the series 2 colorway as a Kickstarter exclusive featuring some luscious pink lips!
Kickstarter Exclusives
In addition to the classic series 1 colorways, the elusive Trash Bag Bunch series 2 colors will be available as Kickstarter exclusive colorways.
Any fan of TBB knows the woeful tale of series 2, but let me catch you up if you're not familiar. Series 1 was ubiquitous on the 'buy one get one free' racks at Kay-Bee toy stores and, no biggie, they're everywhere.
Series 2 featured twelve original mini figure sculpts and several repaints of series 1. They were only released in Scandinavia, and are EXTREMELY rare. Furthermore, there are prototypes shown of many of the series 1 repaints that were never produced at all.
So, available only through the Trash Bag Bunch XL Kickstarter campaign, Last Resort Toys will offer these series 2 colorways of the XL versions of Muckoid and Liceplant!
Thanks to http://www.orangeslime.com for loaning me these images. Go over there for some fun reads about old and odd toys!
Liceplant and Muckoid
The first two XL figures will be Liceplant and Muckoid. A third, yet to be announced figure, will join them as a stretch goal. The projected timeline is for an April Kickstarter campaign, and a November release. Stay up to date on larger announcements here on the LRT site, and keep up to date with sculpt pics (some roughs already shared) and smaller announcements/updates on Facebook and Instagram.
Trash Bag Bunch XL
So here's the reveal: these are not mini figures.
If something is to be revisited, why not take it into new territory? This line will see the original designs from 1991 at a scale approximately 4X the original toys--about 8-10 inches, depending on the character. With larger sculpts comes added detail and the potential for some articulation where appropriate. These toys will fit right in with your Kaiju, Sofubi, and Vinyl collections.
The first few will be from series 1, but, as many are probably wondering, YES, I also intend to bring the ever-so-rare original series 2 designs to all the fans who never had the chance to welcome them into their collections.
As the price and production costs will reflect the scale and detail of the figures, only a handful of the coolest creatures will get the XL treatment to start with, however, as long there is an audience for these, there is no limit to the scope.
Which characters can you expect? Is there other merchandise? Multiple colorways?! STAY TUNED
A few months ago I started a dialogue with Mel Birnkrant (http://melbirnkrant.com) as a fan, fellow collector, and toymaker--which has led to a collaboration. After some emailing back and forth, we got to talking about licensing. Mel owns Trash Bag Bunch, and I love Trash Bag Bunch--it was a perfect match. I immediately started developing ideas for what I could do to bring the license back. I'm currently in development of officially licensed toys based on some of the characters from the original line--but with a new approach. This isn't your father's Trash Bag Bunch! Details about the toys and characters for this new line will be announced in the near future!
